Alfred University Equestrian Camps The equestiran camps create a wonderful opportunity for all levels or riders from beginners through advanced; for ages 10-16. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or online at www.alfred.edu/summer. DEADLINE: May 4, 2007 Boston University Summer Term High School Programs Choose a six-week honors program to earn college credit or conduct scientific research OR a two-week program to preview college life and coursework. Boston University Tanglewood Institute Summer Music Program for Young Artists For ages 15-18, auditions will be held in Boston February 9, 10, 11 and 12. Carnegie Mellon Pre-College Programs This is an opportunity to live five miles from downtown Pittsburgh from June 30th through August 10th and take classes in architecture, art, design, drama and music. Celebration Barn Theater Celebration Barn offers a full season of intense, creative and focused performance-study programs with world-class teachers, all in the stunnng foothills of the western Maine mountains. Champlain College Summer Institute in Information Technology 9 days using state-of-the-art equipment to explore and create ditial video, game design, web strategy and design, html, and object-oriented programming. Go to www.champlain.edu. Curry College Learning Academy See what a difference a week can make with a summer program for high school students (seniors in the class of 2008) with learning disabilities. DEADLINE: May 15, 2007 Hartwick College Summer Music Festival Attend small seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics. Work closely with world-renowned faculty and guest artists. Harvard Summer School This is an opportunity to sample college life at Harvard! During the summer program, you will take classes, meet other students, and partake in the social and recreational activities available. There are four and eight week options and academic focus areas include math, writing, economics, languages, drama and more. Ithaca Summer College for High School Students Experience college in Ithaca, NY, through one-week, three-week and five -week courses. College credit is give for some of the courses. Landmark Volunteeers 2-week summer volunteer opportunities available at 52 cultural, environmental, historical and social service organizations across the country. Lots to Gardens From June 20 through Augusts 17 youth and community members work to stop hunger and build community by creating community gardens and green spaces in Lewiston. DEADLINE: April 13, 2007 Maine Theatre Dance Academy USM and Portland Ballet offer high school-age students an opportunity to study musical theatre dance in a workshop setting July 9-14. Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Individual Enrichment Program Summer Seminar Designed to help students make the transition from high school to college both academically and socially, this is an intensive month-long program that emphasizes academic achievement and student success. Pace University Summer Scholars Program Current sophomores and juniors experience New York City through one of nine one-week intensive courses being offered July 15-21. DEADLINE: June 22, 2007 Southern Maine Theatre Academy This week-long residential camp gives high school-age students a basic understanding of performance concepts and introduces them to the skills needed to create a stage production. University of Vermont Performing Arts Sessions Earn college credits while improving performance skills during two sessions this summer: Physical Clowining (two weeks, June 10-22) or Musical Theater (one week, Jun 24-30). Worcester Polytechnic University - Strive One-week summer residential program for soon-to-be sophomore, junior and senior African-American, Latino, and American Indian students interested in science, mathematics, and engineering.
