SAT Student Preparation
The Official SAT Online Course is a College
Board product that has been made available year-round to all students
(grades 9 – 12), faculty and administrators in Maine public high schools. It is
intended for long term, on-going use by students as they prepare for
the PSAT, SAT and other assessment programs. Additionally, it can be
naturally embedded into instructional practice by teachers as
curriculum topics occur during the course of the year(s). The State of Maine has
entered into a two year agreement with the College Board to provide
this service. More information regarding this program can be found at: http://www.maine.gov/education/sat_initiative/studentrp.html
.
PrepMe is not a product of the College Board.
This program is available only to Maine public high school students in
their 3rd year of high school (juniors) and who are
scheduled to participate in the SAT Initiative. The program is
available for approximately 10 weeks before the official May 5, 2007
administration of the SAT and is designed to act as a final review and
address remaining gaps in understanding of tested material. The program
is individually designed for each participating student based on the
results of a series of diagnostic tests. These services are
offered free of charge to students of the State of Maine by PrepMe.com. More
information regarding this program can be found at: http://www.maine.gov/education/edletrs/2007/ilet/07ilet072.htm
.
Both of these programs are voluntary at the
school and student level. They are made available to all Maine students
in an attempt to provide equal opportunity to quality learning
experiences and materials. Please share this information with others
who might benefit from these programs. More information regarding all
aspects of Maine’s
SAT Initiative can be found at: http://www.maine.gov/education/sat_initiative/index.htm
