Dear Edward Little Students and Families,
The district has now utilized our three “traditional snow days”. Moving ahead, our days that have
been designated as snow days will be “remote learning days”. Staff have been preparing for the need of a
“remote snow day”. This means that students will continue with synchronous learning and follow their
typical bell schedule and maroon/white day schedule, being delivered remotely. Students and staff will
utilize Google Classroom, Zoom/Google Meets, email, and their online syllabus for learning. Staff will use
one, all, or a mixture of these tools for instruction. Staff will take attendance for student’s online remote
presence and participation. Students are required to meet staff expectations for these class sessions. We will
not take attendance for homeroom or learning labs. If a remote snow day occurs on a day with a “Flex
period”, we will follow that schedule and have “Flex period”. Our bell schedule can be found on our
Edward Little High School website under Quick Links on the right hand side.
Also, students who have classes at LRTC should be in contact with their instructors about the
expectations for their classes.
I wanted to share two reminders. First, staff are not required to be in the building on these remote
snow days and will do their very best to keep the instruction moving ahead. Second, nothing replaces face
to face instruction. This is to minimize a disruption to learning from inclement weather.
Respectfully,
Scott Annear
Principal
