Principal Annear Message

Dear Edward Little Families,

The past five days for us all have been challenging. The tragedy that has taken place has impacted us all. I want you to know that we will continue to persevere and support one another as a community and an Edward Little community. This will be a healing process that takes time.

The plans for tomorrow, Monday, 10/30/23, will be a 2 hour delayed start schedule for students. There will be no LRTC classes at the Lewiston or Auburn campuses. Staff will start the day at their regular time, working together to process the tragedy and discuss plans for supporting students. We recognize that this impacts each person differently and need to be prepared to support students based on their individual needs.

Additionally, I recognize that kids returning to school will be emotional for families as well. We continue to partner with the Auburn Police Department for our safety measures and protocols. We have strict procedures in place and the new building provides added measures of safety and security for all at Edward Little High School.

As we prepare for the days ahead, I wanted to share a few of the district resources that you may be interested in viewing.

There is no one way for us all to proceed in the days ahead. Our best resource and support is each other. Please know, we will support and acknowledge the needs and work on the healing for all.

Respectfully,

Scott Annear
